What's in my bag (WIFW Edition)
Hello friends!
The Wills India Fashion Week frenzy is about to begin in a couple of days. I am gearing myself up inspite of being sick for past few days because I do not want to miss this season as Spring/Summer is my favorite! As I was packing my bag for the 5 days of madness, I figured if some of you are also planning to go, a post on what to carry to go through the whole day at the fashion week venue might be of help. So, here it is!
Apart from day-to-day items, I add on few more things that are very crucial during Fashion Weeks. The first and foremost are a pair of flats because running from one show to another in heels can take a toll on your soles and you can rest them in between by wearing a comfy pair of flats. You should also carry an external mobile charger, some gum, pen drive, roll-on perfume, sanitizer, band-aids, etc. To get a more detailed insight on what's in my bag during fashion weeks, check out the video below:
Being a blogger, I always carry my DSLR to capture all the fashionable moments and the street style during fashion weeks and I will be bringing this cute camera bag by October with me.
Hope this post helps you guys! And if you spot me at the WIFW, come say hi!! We can take a selfie together :))
This season, I am attending the WIFW as a guest of PopXo.com and Wills Lifestyle. If you don't know already, I am guest blogging for PopXo, check out my Profile HERE!

Biba Store Visit + Collection Review
The festive season is closing in on us and like me, probably all of you are looking for some pretty Indian wear outfits. Shopping for a casual garment especially Western wear is always easy and affordable but when you go out to buy Indian wear outfits, it's hard not to break the bank! Well, there's one place where you can find designer and absolutely beautiful Indian wear this season and that place ladies and gentlemen, is Biba!
Last time I had visited a Biba store was probably 2 or 3 years back when I needed to buy formal wear for my business college. I hated wearing trousers and formal shirts and ditched them for easy wear kurti tops. However, this time when I visited the store, I was honestly stunned by the collection! The riot of colors! The Rohit Bal collaboration! Oh, where do I even begin!
The collection is based on themes and each themes dictate the prints, colors and silhouettes of the pieces in that particular collection. The one I liked the most was "The Rockstar" with myriad of beautiful and funky prints. Then there is a festive wear collection and I fell absolutely in love with a black and red piece from this one(pictures to follow). And the most exciting section? The Rohit Bal for Biba collection. The anarkalis are beautiful and the prints and embroidery so-very-Rohit. And so so affordable! The one I liked was a blue and cream anarkali which is also featured on the front cover of the catalog, it was priced somewhere near Rs.9000/-. That is very very affordable from Indian wear Price Range perspective if you ask me!

How I dress in Monsoon!
It's been raining a lot these days and if you know me well, I hate monsoon. I would usually just be cooped up in my bed and watch True Blood all day and well, that's what I have been doing. Hot drinks, good books and awesome TV Series...that's all it takes for me to be calm in this stormy weather. But, sometimes when I do need to step out, I make sure that I am well prepared for the rain.
Apart from carrying my cute little umbrella in my bag all the time, I try avoiding wearing maxi skirts or dresses or even full length pants. Living alone in a city where you have to take care of all your clothes, why to risk mudding up the hem of my skirts or jeans when I can get away with shorts just as easily! These DIY shorts (Check out how I made them HERE!) are one of my absolute favorites and they cheer up any simple outfit by adding the perfect amount of color. Keeping the top garment loose and easy to move in and some bright lipstick to brighten the gloomy day, there you have it...a perfect monsoon outfit! I do carry a flip-flops in the back of the car in case it starts raining. I ain't gonna let nothing happen to my shoes!(By the way, wearing suede is probably not the best idea in monsoon, but they are my favorite kind!)
Apart from your outfit, you do have to keep in mind a few other things like the hair and makeup. Try wearing minimal makeup on the face but if you want, you can wear a bright lipstick to jazz up the whole look, it's only befitting that you brighten a gloomy day with some color! Go easy on foundation and opt for a BB Cream which has a less chance of melting off your face in the humidity. Wear Waterproof liner and mascara, opt for cream blushes and wear long staying concealer if you absolutely have to. As far as the hair is concerned, no matter how nicely you curl or straighten them, they tend to go back to their original form due to the humidity. So, it's better to lay off the heat for this season and opt for heatless hair updos which will not only help you with the frizz but also keep the hair off the neck for which you will thank me later, trust me!
