Can we just hurray in excitement for a whole minute! My most beloved season is here in full form and I couldn't be more excited. Fall season is my favourite not only because it is the perfect temperature, neither too hot nor too cold, but also because it brings along limitless possibilities of layering, accessorising and styling. Although I am aware that Winter will surpass this temperature in a matter of weeks or probably even days but I am going to be making the most of this time however little of it I am allowed.

This outfit is my first tribute to this season, where I have incorporated the core trends for fall. Plaid is having a moment on the runways and I brought it down to the streets with this light woolen cape jacket. It was a gem found buried deep in the treasure hunt we all go through as we step into Forever 21. The denims and the bag are the results of a little DIY makeover project that we did on a whim while chilling on a lazy Sunday afternoon. We always find ourselves pointing out the little changes that could have made a garment or an accessory much more stylish and one day we had enough of the could haves and should haves and we took the matter in our hands. Or should I say, took the scissors in our hands! We snipped away the arm handles of the bag first which made it more street chic and then moved onto making those slits in the denims. It was hard not to go overboard as I kept insisting for a few more slashes but then felt this was just the right amount of skin peeking through.

With high waist denims, the most obvious choice is a crop top and that's what I went for. Yes, the nip in the air is more prominent but we don't have to let go of our crop tops just yet! With the right amount of layering, crop tops can easily work their way into our Fall wardrobes. Why don't you all show me your way of wearing crop tops in this weather! Share your styled outfits with me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat...I would love to see what you guys come up with! There is a stylist hidden in each one of you, dig deep and explore the possibilities!

Florals and Plaid for Fall

{Skirt/Shirt/Necklaces/Rings/Shoes - Forever 21, Crop Top - Stalk Buy Love, Bag - Zara}

As soon as the Fall season kicks in, spotting plaid shirt becomes a common occurring. While it is a really versatile piece to have in your closet, wearing it with regular denims, hoodie and sneakers doesn't always looks as cute as Bella Swan casuals. I like to layer my plaid shirts depending on the weather.

For an easy look, you could just layer it over a cropped top and skirt like I have done here during the beginning months of Fall. Light layering is the key when it comes to jewellery as well. Layer a couple of long pieces with short ones to keep the neck area from looking too stuffy.

 I have been wearing this shirt almost every week since I bought it because it is so easy to wear! Whenever I have one of those days when I wake up late and have little or no time to get ready and leave, I reach out for this classic piece. You can wear it with denims, jeggings, skirt, layered over a t-shirt or under a jacket, just so many ways to style it! And it looks perfect during the Fall season! Hands down one of my favorite pieces during the colder months. Photography credits: www.aanchalkalra.com

French Connection Menswear Collection Review

It's that time of the year again when you have to loosen your pockets and go shopping for the new season's key pieces. Fall has almost hit us and soon there's going to be more than just a little nip in the air. During this time, the stores get all flooded with soft knits, cozy jackets and what not and while I love talking about womenswear, I thought it would be fun to include the gentlemen of our lives as well! I can't say for everyone but the men of my house love to shop during Fall. While in Summer, they get to wear the basic shirt or t-shirt, Fall brings a whole platter of variety for them to experiment with. There are cardigans, sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, leather jackets, pullovers, caps, scarves and the list goes on!

When we were given a chance to review the new menswear collection at the French Connection store, we readily accepted. We are already loyal customers of the brand and when one of your favorite brands asks you to come over, have a look at the collection and share your thoughts on the same, how can you not accept!

It was so easy to get distracted by the womenswear collection they had but I was determined about not ignoring the menswear section this time around and giving them the attention that they deserve. Have a look at the collection, the pictures speak louder than words:

Aman could hardly contain his happy after-shopping-smile! The new collection has knits, cardigans, chino pants, etc in myriad of colors. The knit material used for the cardigans and pullover are really soft, cozy and durable. The textures and color blocking are the highlights of the collection and the cozy shirts in tartan check print were my favorite. If you happen to be around French Connection store, drop by to have a look at the collection, I am sure you will not be disappointed if you are looking for smart casuals.

xoxo,
Stay Fab!

With unexpected rainfalls and slight chill in the evening air, Fall is fast approaching. I am really getting into sweatshirts for this season. I haven't ever worn sweatshirts before but now I am exploring the idea of pairing casual sweatshirts with interesting bottoms. This sweatshirt is itself very interesting with sheer panels and leather cutwork details and paired with the high waisted pleated denims, it looks very Milan chic. I say this coz I had shot a lady in Milan for my street fashion section last year and this outfit is kinda inspired from her. Check out that post HERE, it's the lady in the third picture.
