The Cow Print Shorts

The printed silk shorts are the new denims. Easy and breezy (quite literally) to wear, they are becoming quite a staple in fashion world. The Summer of Delhi will not spare you from it's tragic heat and to escape the dreadful sweat stains from the leather seats of our cars or auto rickshaws or even leather couches( unless the air-conditioner is available), cotton shorts are no help either. The polyester silk fabric of these shorts are usually stain-free and dry up pretty quickly. I learned this (pretty obvious) fact last week while I was wearing a silk blouse and my friend was wearing cotton and our car's air-conditioner decided to act up.

I am obsessed with this rich raspberry pink lip shade from Inglot right now along with a couple of other bright hues. Colorful pouts are always in and are perfect to dress up the simplest of outfits. Seal the deal with a (colorful) kiss!

Celebrate Father's Day with Nautica!

Recently we were invited by Nautica to check out their latest collection. The store we visited was located on the ground level of Ambience Mall, Gurgaon and had a lovely ambiance itself. The store manager and the staffs were very attentive and pleasant and I give them one Brownie Point for that. The attitude of the staff matters a lot in the whole shopping experience and it can leave a very sour taste. But the Nautica store visit was quite pleasant and lovely.

The collection itself has a very nautical feel to it and the cute instruments like the telescope, knots and steering wheels add to the whole sea feel. The decor was amazing to say the least. The men's collection was particularly good, I did not care much for the women's collection though (which was quite small). The variety for menswear is huge in Nautica. They have covered everything from Shirts, Polo T-shirts, V-neck T-shirts, Round neck T-shirts, Trousers, Shorts, Denims to Shoes, Bags, Wallets and Belts. It's a one-stop shop for the men.

As you all must be well aware of, Father's Day is just a week away and for those who are not, it's on 16th June. If you are looking to buy your dad a gift for the occasion, this place is a must visit. You will find all sort of varieties and if you ask what's our favourite pick, it has to be the ever popular and best selling Nautica Performance Deck Shirt. This shirt features innovative SPF protection and moisture wicking technology that will keep your Dad dry, comfortable and protected all Summer.

Now, I will leave you all with some snippets of our visit, have a look!

The rage that these pants have become is not even funny. Well, maybe a little in the ha-ha-funny way as my sister likes to call them my jail pants. But ironically, it's the jail pants only that are omnipresent these days. You will see them in the mall, on the streets, in the stores, on instagram, everywhere! They have broken free and roaming all around the city! Correction: Globe!

I love these pants basically for 3 reasons:
1. The monochrome stripes are the trend of the season and these pants are as good as it gets! Just pair them with a black or white shirt and you have a perfect monochrome outfit.
2. They can not only be paired with blacks or certain colors but they can be paired with any color! They complement brights just as well they complement pastels. And looks super trendy ;)
3. Being vertical stripes, they give an illusion of slimmer and longer legs which let's face it, is every girl's dream.

Red Pout. Oh! How I feared thee! I tried and tried and failed, you never looked good on me, never the perfect crimson for my guise. I went through tubes of shades, darker, lighter, matte or glossy. Nada! Giving up hope was beyond me so I kept my eyes wired open for that one perfect red tint that was meant to be. And would you believe it when I say I have found it? After years of looking (and thousands of money down the drain) my heart stopped and skipped a beat or two when I tried this shade on. The almost pinkish neon red, very me, matte and non fussy, pops out perfectly and makes that pout look perfect. The Maybelline 14 Hour Stay Lipstick in "Non-Stop Red" is a color I have been wearing non-stop. I have it in my purse no matter where I go. Who knows when you might need a little glamming up to do. And what better could serve the purpose than a hot red lip shade!

This outfit post has been long overdue. It was the Finale Day at WIFW and I could not decide what to wear. Comfort is the top priority for me during Fashion Weeks so I was not going to wear that new pretty tube top or those skinny trousers I had picked up a few weeks ago. So, could it be a dress, simple yet dressy...or a just a pair of jeans with an over-sized shirt and statement necklace or may be some printed pants dressed up with a tailored blazer. No. I was not going for the easy option. So, I borrowed this striped T-shirt from our dear A who has recently bought it off Asos. I wanted to use some citrus spring colors and make the outfit as loud as possible, yet keeping it classy. One of my favorite outfits if I am being honest.

Bright Neon yet Chic!

Who said colors can't be classy! You don't only have to go for beige, nudes and whites for a chic look. Splash some colors, patterns and textures in your outfit and become fashion's new darling!

Stripes are trending big time this season and to look different from the crowd, the strategy should be somewhat unconventional. Enters Neon Stripes. Neon Orange paired with it's complimentary color Blue, it takes the whole outfit to a new level. The colors are my favorite highlights of this outfit. I wore this outfit for Day 3 of WIFW AW13 and received quite a load of compliments throughout the day.

On a more personal note, please accept my apologies for being completely MIA for 2 weeks. I won't bore you all with reasons and excuses. But the exciting news is that I am working on my final collection of 5 garments, and I just completed the first and did it's photoshoot today morning and it has come out lovely if I may say so :)
