Striped Maxi Skirt

{Maxi/T-shirt/Midi Rings - Forever 21, Waistcoat - Zara, Necklace - Koovs, Bracelet - Aldo, Clutch/Knuckle Ring - H&M, Shoes - Steve Madden}

You might notice in this and the previous post that my hair color is gone. Well, it's not. These are just few photoshoots we did long before I got my hair colored but didn't find time to post them. This was actually one of the looks featured in Cosmopolitan's March Issue. My obsession with maxi was at it's peak then and I was busy collecting all colors, prints and fabric I could. And I am glad that I did so because now that the temperature is hitting 44 degrees, I can be all comfortable in my flowy georgette maxis. Just need to tone the tummy a bit more so the crop tops can find a way into my wardrobe!

xoxo,
Stay chic!

Put a Hat on it!

{Pullover/Shoes/Necklace/Rings - Forever 21, Leggings - Mango, Hat - Zara, Bag - Accessorize}

Never in my wildest dream I would have imagined that I would be where I am today. As a child, at one point I wanted to join police force to help make this country a better place, at another point I wanted to become a commercial pilot to be able to make tonnes of money (and I was crazy about planes :P) and yes, of course how can I forget, like almost every other girl, I wanted to become an actress and all that glam. But, life had it's ups and downs and I landed here, an assistant designer in one of the top export houses of India and a fashion blogger on the sidelines that Cosmopolitan thinks is worth bookmarking! When my parents refused to take my tantrums about this pilot frenzy, I almost thought they were ruining my life, not letting me do what I want, but today they are the ones I am most grateful to for nudging me towards the right direction and towards the life I really wanted.

This March, Cosmopolitan featured yours truly in an article which read "Meet India's Personal Style Heroes". One of my most gratifying and happy moments.

Cosmopolitan & TRESemmé's Backstage Bash!

Last week Cosmopolitan and TRESemmé hosted an exclusive backstage party, like the ones from New York or Paris Fashion Weeks! The recreation of the backstage drama of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2014 was nailed to perfection with skinny models clad in Falguni & Shane Peacock's SS14 collection and all the elites of the fashion world in attendance. While The Foyer at Olive was buzzing with backstage excitement and air-kissing elites, the models were getting their hair done by the efficient TRESemmé team and I was ogling the hair stylists work their magic on the models while munching on fresh strawberries dipped in whipped cream and some bubbly. Can't complain!

Now, I snagged a little tutorial courtesy TRESemmé for all you guys. This super easy 5 minute updo is going to be a life saver for my bad hair days.
