Autumn-Winter Style Alert – It’s all about vibrancy for men this winter!

The chilly weather attacked us surreptitiously and while we all may have our basics down to the point with our leather jackets and tan boots, it's time to do something new and fun this season. Why let go of colors in winters, to compliment the grey skies and the gloomy weather? I say, lets break the rules and while it is easier said than done because I find myself always reaching for greys and blacks every morning but I am gonna make a conscious effort of bringing in some colors to my outfits. And why just us girls? Guys could also use some vibrancy in their wardrobe!

SFE Men: Transitional neutrals

The weather has all of us in knots when it comes to fashion. During the day it is unbearably hot but as the sun goes down, there is an apparent nip in the air. This is the time when you can whip out your transitional pieces which will keep you comfortable and cozy no matter the temperature.

Now, when we talk about fall transitional wardrobe pieces, before even talking about the gilets and roll necks, the color palette can't be overlooked. Especially for men, I feel they should maintain a certain distance from bright hues like red, orange, yellow, etc. The best colors to frequent would be greys, rust, beige, black, blue, basically all the darker and muted tones. Your outfit doesn't need to be gloomy and dark, you can play these up by mixing prints and textures as well. We styled this outfit keeping the same theme in mind and while a pair of black boots would have made for a perfect Fall outfit, we refrained for using them to keep the look light and apt for daytime. The denim jacket is just warm enough for the slightly chilly evenings and could easily be taken off to reveal a perfectly casual daytime outfit.

Despite summer sadly coming to an end, the start of the transitional period need not be seen as a negative. After all, the casual and simple summer style eventually begins to get stale and the seasonal shift allows us to introduce creative layering, richer colors and beautifully textured garments into our everyday looks.

SFE Men: Chasing the monochrome rainbow

Meet the newest member of SFE family, ROHMAN SHAWL! An accomplished model and a dear friend, can carry almost anything with panache and happily (and might I add, very sweetly) agreed to be the face for men's fashion on Style Fashion Etc. We plan to do a lot more in men's fashion category so stay tuned (and get the stylish men in your life to also tune in!) for a lot more fun posts!

We are almost on the verge of entering Autumn and there's nothing I love more than Fall Fashion. The light layers, added textures and hot coffees take over and life just becomes better. Along with these cozy comforts comes new trends to embrace and experiment with. We start with basics today and will explore more as we move deeper into the season. 

Rollnecks never really left winter wardrobes and as seen at Lanvin, Maison Martin Margiela and J.W.Anderson, they are definitely making a comeback this season. Wear it as it is or layer it under a shirt, this classic piece will hardly ever fail you. With grey being the unmistakably first choice during the colder months and by far the most popular color on the shows, we chose the deepest hue almost bordering on black. Paired with white denims, the dark grey creates a contrast that is subtle and easy on the eyes. Another popular trend that was spotted on the runways this season was squares, used in big, bold blocks of color and patches and we introduced this trend in the form of a scarf. A long scarf is going to your favored companion during the later months of the year. Thrown and looped casually around the neck, this piece of fabric can bring together the most casual of outfits and make you look 10 times better instantly. If you haven't already, stock up on scarves before the Autumn hits and you will be cozy and stylish all season long!

Classic Summer Look for Men

{T-shirt - Forca, Jeans - Levis, Shoes - Forever 21, Bracelets - Aldo}

The weather has been acting up really bad for a past couple of days in Delhi. It rains one day and then it is terribly hot and humid. From fashion perspective, it is really confusing what to wear because it may just start to drizzle any time of the day. For men, I feel the classic combination of denims and white t-shirt is the best way to go for a relaxed and cool look.

Aman pulled this look together one day for going out for some shopping and to the movies and I knew I had to share it on the blog. It is a very guy-next-door kinda look, easy to pull together for absolutely ANY guy. Who doesn't have a pair of favorite blue denims and a simple white t-shirt! I really liked it that Aman played it up in the footwear department by wearing a monochrome patterned espadrille along with the layered bracelets. The whole outfit is quite muted when it comes to color palette but the patterned shoes and the bracelets add character to the whole outfit. Definitely the perfect Summer outfit!
