Combining two of my favorite trends, neon and monochrome turned out to be more fun that I had expected it to be. The monochrome trend has been doing rounds in the fashion world for quite a while now, but to add more interest and jazz to a monochrome outfit, what could be a better option than neons! A little color doesn't hurt anyone. The tank is so much more brighter in person, only if the camera could catch the true color of this summery piece.

This outfit is very comfortable and perfect for going out for some casual shopping on Sundays or for brunch with friends. A lot of you also go to the gyms in malls and this outfit can very multi-functional in that direction also. The leggings and tanks would be perfect for sweating it out and just put on the shirt as a cover-up, put your hair in a messy voluminous pony and the necklace to top it all off to perfection. Gyms in malls are no excuse to walk around in your tracksuit, girls! You never know, you might just run into your high-school crush in the mall while making your way out to the parking and I would take overdressed anyday over underdressed! Stay fab!

The Sophisticated Clown

Yes, you read it right. The sophisticated clown. That's what A thought I looked like when I stepped into his car that day. I was aware I looked different, I had tried to look different. Sometimes, all you need is a fresh change. You are not always sure if it's good or bad but you need to take risks to branch out of your comfort zone. I was particularly aiming for something new when I woke up that morning. I put in extra effort in my hair. And I personally feel, it turned out great. Who would have thought milkmaid braids could actually be pulled off on a trip to the mall. I didn't. But, I am happy I proved myself wrong.

The clown part is a reference to the pops of red against the almost monochrome outfit. It does look a little clownish, don't you think? But in a cool comfortable charming way. I like it.

I also opted out of wearing heels for the shoot. The whole point of this outfit was comfort, and let's face it, none of us has the guts or the feet to brave a whole day in the mall on our toes and pointy sticks, now do we? I once got a comment from a reader that wearing heels could have made the outfit look better, I agree. But, I am not going to abide by this insignificant rule anymore. I am not here to show you the perfect outfit, I am here to share my opinions and my style. Of course, heels can take the whole outfit to another level and I will do shoots with heels but mostly when I am actually wearing them.

The Cow Print Shorts

The printed silk shorts are the new denims. Easy and breezy (quite literally) to wear, they are becoming quite a staple in fashion world. The Summer of Delhi will not spare you from it's tragic heat and to escape the dreadful sweat stains from the leather seats of our cars or auto rickshaws or even leather couches( unless the air-conditioner is available), cotton shorts are no help either. The polyester silk fabric of these shorts are usually stain-free and dry up pretty quickly. I learned this (pretty obvious) fact last week while I was wearing a silk blouse and my friend was wearing cotton and our car's air-conditioner decided to act up.

I am obsessed with this rich raspberry pink lip shade from Inglot right now along with a couple of other bright hues. Colorful pouts are always in and are perfect to dress up the simplest of outfits. Seal the deal with a (colorful) kiss!

Celebrate Father's Day with Nautica!

Recently we were invited by Nautica to check out their latest collection. The store we visited was located on the ground level of Ambience Mall, Gurgaon and had a lovely ambiance itself. The store manager and the staffs were very attentive and pleasant and I give them one Brownie Point for that. The attitude of the staff matters a lot in the whole shopping experience and it can leave a very sour taste. But the Nautica store visit was quite pleasant and lovely.

The collection itself has a very nautical feel to it and the cute instruments like the telescope, knots and steering wheels add to the whole sea feel. The decor was amazing to say the least. The men's collection was particularly good, I did not care much for the women's collection though (which was quite small). The variety for menswear is huge in Nautica. They have covered everything from Shirts, Polo T-shirts, V-neck T-shirts, Round neck T-shirts, Trousers, Shorts, Denims to Shoes, Bags, Wallets and Belts. It's a one-stop shop for the men.

As you all must be well aware of, Father's Day is just a week away and for those who are not, it's on 16th June. If you are looking to buy your dad a gift for the occasion, this place is a must visit. You will find all sort of varieties and if you ask what's our favourite pick, it has to be the ever popular and best selling Nautica Performance Deck Shirt. This shirt features innovative SPF protection and moisture wicking technology that will keep your Dad dry, comfortable and protected all Summer.

Now, I will leave you all with some snippets of our visit, have a look!

Soleil Tan De Chanel/ Bronze Universel Review

Everybody has their own guilty pleasure. Mine? Dark Chocolate and high-end makeup.

099

This post has been long overdue. I clicked and uploaded the pictures months ago but never got around to finishing and publishing the post. I guess I am not your typical beauty blogger, huh? Yes, I admit I am not. I hate listing Pros and Cons, and then rating a product. I tried doing it couple of times but I can't, I just can't. Just keeping it real girls!

But I do want to share my views on makeup products coz guess what! I am just as passionate about makeup as I am about fashion. They go hand in hand. To complete a look, you need makeup and hair to go with it. Without it, the look is lost. So, what do we do, now that I can't list pros and cons of every product?

Here's what we are gonna do, we are gonna talk straight to the point, no huss no fuss. Either I like the product or I don't. If I like, I tell you why in simple words and same even if I don't like the product. Agreed? Good.

Don't let the super fancy name fool ya. It's just a bronzer or as some people like to call it, a makeup base to look more tanned. But let's face it, looking tanner than you already are, nevvver gonna happen in India.

Chanel is one of my absolute favourite brands for skin makeup. Their foundations and compacts are amazing. I needed a bronzer coz my old one broke and I decided to give this fancy "Soleil Tan De Chanel", formerly know as "Bronze Universel" a try. But honestly, would you really be willing to give a "try" to such an expensive product without being sure about it?? Well, I will not. So, I did my research and somewhat convinced, bought it. Now, go ahead and soak your eyes with the super luxurious packaging and the yummy looking whipped chocolate cream inside it before I start talking about it...

The first day I got it, I was confused. It looked like soft whipped cream but was harder than I had expected. Using fingers to apply it did not help, neither did the brushes. After many tries, I finally figured out the best way to use it which is a tapered blush brush like this one HERE. You just need to swirl the brush softly and it picks up a good amount of product and then you can go ahead and start contouring your face. It stays on whole day without getting patchy and works fine for all skin types. The color is lovely, not too muddy and not too orange. Lasts you a lifetime and totally worth the money.

I have been using this bronzer to contour my face for over 6 months. I absolutely love this product. Contours beautifully and gives the most natural sunkissed look. The texture is very luxurious.

One negative thing about this product is that it comes in only one shade which is medium brown. So, this might not be the best option for the darker skintones. Nevertheless, go check it out in the stores, try it and see for yourself. If nothing else, enjoy your time at the Chanel counters! Have fun!

Price: Don't hate me but I don't remember the exact price...I wanna say Rs.2500/-
