Summer Skin Care Regime, Review and Tips

Hey guys! I have always been asked what products I use on my skin and today is the day I address all those question. Watch the video to know my Summer Skin care regime along with few tips to keep your skin soft and happy :)

Chanel Haul

Who doesn't love a little bit of luxury every now and then? After months of getting rigorously stretched too thin between work, blogging and travelling, I felt it was only fair to treat myself a little. And as I have confessed in my previous post of Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzer review, Chanel is my guilty pleasure. I know it is too costly, but sometimes I like to splurge on it. Plus, the quality is great. Especially while buying this brand, I never have to worry about it being worth the money because it always turns out to be. Worth the money.

After going through the stress of moving and starting a whole new job, it kinda started showing on my skin. I felt my skin was a little dry and it had lost it's glow. A major reason could be that I had not been working out for quite some time and also not getting enough sleep or paying attention to my skin. I was using all Clinique skin regime at that time but couldn't really blame it taking the circumstances into consideration. I shall review those products as well, I guess. Anyways, not wandering off the point! The same day I went to the mall and picked up some goodies from Chanel. I had heard good things about their Hydra Beauty Creme so I decided to get that. The SA at the store also recommended the same one for my skin type and concern. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I really do see the difference. I will review the product once I have used it for a couple of months at least so that I can be aware of all the pros as well as cons, if there are any.

While I was at the store, I looked through their beauty range [As I always do *rolling eyes*] and spotted a couple of beautiful lipstick shades. They were too gorgeous to not try them on at least and even though I was planning to get one of these two colors, I just couldn't pick one! They were both so gorgeous and I was in love with the colors, the packaging, everything really! They glided like butter on my lips and left them moisturized and tinted in the most loveliest of pink hues! I ended up getting both of them *guilty grin* and I absolutely love love love them both. If you are at the mall, do go to the store and at least try them on, the shades are "Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Color in 60 Triomphe" and "Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color in 136 Melodieuse". They are a pleasure to wear! I will swatch them both for you guys if you want.

That's all for now! Good night!

Makeup Breakdown: Red pout

Hey friends!

I have been getting queries for makeup breakdown on few of my recent selfies so I decided to do a complete post on it. Most of you know, how badly I was sunburned in May and it took me 4 de-tan facials to somewhat match my foundation shade which I had purchased right before I got all burned up. But thankfully, the facials and staying indoors helped me to get back to my original shade in 2 months and just in time for one of my closest friend's wedding.
The look for which I am doing the makeup breakdown:

In the pictures above, I am wearing the same makeup but with different attires. The left one is from an event that happened in Mumbai a couple of weeks ago and the one on the right is from my friend's Sangeet ceremony. Pardon me for using pictures clicked by my phone in these posts but these are the only pictures I have as I was not carrying my SLR for this trip.

Blake Lively rules the red carpet at Cannes 2014

How many times have you wished you were Blake Lively? Well, for me, it has been innumerable number of times! I love this girl and have been crushing over her recent Cannes appearances. She killed it on Day 1, then she nailed it on Day 2 and then she nailed some more on Day 3.

Day 1
Donning a floor length Gucci gown with a thigh high slit, Blake looked absolutely fierce on Day 1. If I had those toned long never-ending legs, I would opt for such sexy slits myself...
This color is probably her favorite (and rightfully so, she looks gorgeous in it!) coz I have noticed her in this color far too many times now.

Day 2
This Chanel illusion dress wouldn't have looked better than this if Cinderella herself would have worn it. Blake wears this dress with perfection and I am loving her choice of hairdo, dreamy!

Day 3
Red Carpet Fashion had it's most fashionable moment when Blake wore this chic Black & White Gucci gown coz some things just look better in black and white. Looking like a lady with class and with her sexy husband on her arms, she could make any girl on this planet green with envy!

Stay Fabulous!

Blake Lover :P

Soleil Tan De Chanel/ Bronze Universel Review

Everybody has their own guilty pleasure. Mine? Dark Chocolate and high-end makeup.

099

This post has been long overdue. I clicked and uploaded the pictures months ago but never got around to finishing and publishing the post. I guess I am not your typical beauty blogger, huh? Yes, I admit I am not. I hate listing Pros and Cons, and then rating a product. I tried doing it couple of times but I can't, I just can't. Just keeping it real girls!

But I do want to share my views on makeup products coz guess what! I am just as passionate about makeup as I am about fashion. They go hand in hand. To complete a look, you need makeup and hair to go with it. Without it, the look is lost. So, what do we do, now that I can't list pros and cons of every product?

Here's what we are gonna do, we are gonna talk straight to the point, no huss no fuss. Either I like the product or I don't. If I like, I tell you why in simple words and same even if I don't like the product. Agreed? Good.

Don't let the super fancy name fool ya. It's just a bronzer or as some people like to call it, a makeup base to look more tanned. But let's face it, looking tanner than you already are, nevvver gonna happen in India.

Chanel is one of my absolute favourite brands for skin makeup. Their foundations and compacts are amazing. I needed a bronzer coz my old one broke and I decided to give this fancy "Soleil Tan De Chanel", formerly know as "Bronze Universel" a try. But honestly, would you really be willing to give a "try" to such an expensive product without being sure about it?? Well, I will not. So, I did my research and somewhat convinced, bought it. Now, go ahead and soak your eyes with the super luxurious packaging and the yummy looking whipped chocolate cream inside it before I start talking about it...

The first day I got it, I was confused. It looked like soft whipped cream but was harder than I had expected. Using fingers to apply it did not help, neither did the brushes. After many tries, I finally figured out the best way to use it which is a tapered blush brush like this one HERE. You just need to swirl the brush softly and it picks up a good amount of product and then you can go ahead and start contouring your face. It stays on whole day without getting patchy and works fine for all skin types. The color is lovely, not too muddy and not too orange. Lasts you a lifetime and totally worth the money.

I have been using this bronzer to contour my face for over 6 months. I absolutely love this product. Contours beautifully and gives the most natural sunkissed look. The texture is very luxurious.

One negative thing about this product is that it comes in only one shade which is medium brown. So, this might not be the best option for the darker skintones. Nevertheless, go check it out in the stores, try it and see for yourself. If nothing else, enjoy your time at the Chanel counters! Have fun!

Price: Don't hate me but I don't remember the exact price...I wanna say Rs.2500/-
